PPG Facility Producing Conductive Inks and Coatings

Following on its late-2012 acquisition of coatings producer Spraylat Corp., the PPG Industries facility in Springdale, PA has begun to manufacture conductive inks and coatings for the electronics industry. The move marks PPG’s startup of a new electronic materials group. The new inks and coatings find use in medical devices, automotive airbags, flexible circuitry, electronic sensing devices and touchscreens.
