Improve Safety and Productivity of Coil Payout and Takeup Operations

Rockwell Automation, Milwaukee, WI, has developed an Allen-Bradley preconfigured safety control for spool payout and takeup, unique in its ability to operate in multiple modes so that operators need not sacrifice productivity for safety. System software supports plug-in device connections including e-stop and trip devices, presence-sensing devices, gate interlocks and two-hand controls.
