The new Series 509 C8 analog sensors from Contrinex, Inc., Old Saybrook, CT, with a compact rectangular housing of 8 by 8 by 50 mm, are distinguished by their unusually large sensing range from 0 to 4 mm, their good temperature stability between -25 C and +70 C, and their repeatability.
The sensing range of the devices reportedly exceeds those achieved with conventional sensors. In addition, since intermediate digitization has been eliminated, resolution of the devices of vibrations.
Contrinex MB analog sensors are available with output voltage ranges of 0 to 5 V or 0 to 10 V.
