Serapid, Inc., Sterling Heights, MI, introduces a new safety option for its improved wedge clamp, the TBHS escaping arc clamp: Proximity sensors now are available for all sizes. Customers can specify one of three different mounting locations on the clamp for the sensors. They can be mounted parallel, perpendicular or off the back of the clamp.

The TBHS clamp comes in a range of sizes from 2 to 63 tons. It features a mechanical safety deposit so that the die will not drop in the event of a pressure failure. The clamp is well-suited for automated systems requiring the sensing of clamp position.
