Hong Kong-based 3D QuickTools introduced 3DQuickPress die-design software in 2003 to enable tooling engineers to use the power of 3D design in a SolidWorks environment. The system is enriched with practical approaches without losing a user-friendly interface, according to company officials. 3DQuickForm works seamlessly inside 3DQuickPress to provide accurate forming predictions, and users receive instant feedback without having to access a different CAE module.

3DQuickForm 2008 is upgraded with a new solver. It offers more rapid automatic unfold, even for multiple stages. Also, a new automatic tipping function enables drawing to be performed without the need for undercutting.
