Six-Press Automated Stamping Lines Headed to Chinese Automotive OEM

The Schuler Group, Goeppingen, Germany (represented in North America by Schuler Inc., Canton, MI) will supply two fully automated press lines to FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Company in China, a joint venture between First Automotive Works, Volkswagen and Audi. Each line will comprise six mechanical presses with a total force of 9100 tons, and speedbar press-to-press transfer technology that will enable production rates as high as 13 large panels/min.

Schuler also will supply a pair of hydraulic tryout presses to the plant, located in Changchun.
