Wilson Tool Intl., White Bear Lake, MN, appointed Chris Lawless president and Paul Johnson president of new business development. Lawless, previously vice president of operations for the firm’s punching division, will oversee operations in North and South America. Johnson, previously vice president of operations for Wilson Tool’s press brake and stamping divisions, will lead the company’s foray into new business opportunities.

Richard Sade, vice president and COO of S&S Hinge, a PMA member company located in Bloomingdale, IL, has been elected to the Manufacturing Leadership Council’s board of directors. The council’s mission is “to help senior executives define and shape a better future for themselves, their organizations and the industry at large.” It produces a variety of leadership networking, information and professional-development products.

Precision sheetmetal fabricator and stamper Laystrom Manufacturing Co., Chicago, IL, hired Eric Hauser as manufacturing manager. He’ll oversee the firm’s manufacturing and operations support departments, and lead its continuous quality- and process-improvement activities.

Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, KS, expanded its North American salesforce by appointing Jason Cohen to cover Texas and Oklahoma; Darrick Litten to cover Ohio, West Virginia and Western New York; and Dan Murphy to cover Illinois and Wisconsin. The firm also added two new manufacturer’s representatives: Pat Perkins, in Southern California; and John Weber, in Arizona and New Mexico. Robert Bunting, Jr. was named business strategist—metal detection. Sonia Cox was named director of marketing. The firm manufactures magnetic products for a variety of industries.

Carl Zeiss, Maple Grove, MN, appointed Michael Kirchner as president of its Industrial Metrology Group in North America. Kirchner previously served the company as general manager for Carl Zeiss Shanghai Ltd.

United Performance Metals (UPM), Hamilton, OH, named Kathy Esquerra regional account manager at its west-coast location in La Mirada, CA. She’ll represent the firm in Central and Northern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. UPM’s west-coast service center maintains an inventory of specialty stainless-steel and high-temperature alloy sheet and coil.

Stainless Sales Corp., Chicago, IL, promoted Rose of Sharon DeVos to the newly created position of director of sales and marketing. Also, Neil Wolfe moves from the role of inside sales manager to outside sales manager, to focus on new-business development. Other personnel changes at the company: quality manager Rob Jaskula moves to inside sales manager, and Dan Wilson joins the firm as outside sales representative covering Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia.

Welding-equipment manufacturer Fronius USA, LLC, Portage, IN, announced several personnel moves: David Grant (northeast region) and Chris Bliven (central region) move from area sales managers to regional sales managers in their respective territories; Shaun Relyea moves from senior application engineer to tech support manager; and Wes Doneth, tech support manager, becomes area sales manager for Michigan and Indiana.

Miyachi Unitek Corp., Monrovia, CA, a manufacturer of resistance-welding equipment and laser systems, named David Fawcett president and CEO; he previously served the company as CEO of Miyachi Europe Corp.

MultiCam Inc., Dallas, TX, a manufacturer of CNC controls for cutting equipment (laser, waterjet, plasma, etc.) appointed John Wilson digital finishing product manager.

TRUMPF Inc. Laser Technology Center, Plymouth, MI, appointed Pat Grace North American sales manager, Lasers and Systems. He most recently served the organization as regional sales manager, selling lasers and laser systems on the West Coast.

Trico Corp., Pewaukee, WI, a supplier of lubrication-management products and services, named Jim Jung vice president. Promoted from director of operations, Jung will focus on strategic planning and explore opportunities to expand into new markets.

ATW Companies, a provider of engineered metal products based in Warwick, RI, appointed Karl E. Hoffman account executive for its Metalform division. The division manufactures steel replacement 1911 magazines for the firearms industry.

Seyi America, Tullahoma, TN, hired Rene Abelardo de Hoyos as its Mexico service technician manager. An expert in planning and executing preventive-maintenance programs, he’ll work out of Monterrey, N.L., helping the company “achieve its vision for the Seyi brand in Mexico,” says Seyi president Mike Madden.
