Servo-Drive Flying Cutoff Press

Monday, April 01, 2013

Airam Press Co. Ltd., Covington, OH, has developed a pneumatic flying cutoff press with a servo drive that provides the flexibility to perform stamping and rollforming operations, as well as extrusion applications. Use the press to stamp, punch, cut or pierce, as part of a stamping work cell or as the anchor of a rollforming line.

“The servo-driven flying cutoff can move in and out of the material three times faster when compared to similarly equipped hydraulic and mechanical presses,” says Airam sales manager Matt Barkman, “Tooling doesn’t have to travel as far, which minimizes the overall footprint.”
