Harrington Hoists, Inc., Manheim, PA, and Corona, CA, earned ISO 9001:2008 registration. The firm, a Kito Group company, manufactures material-handling products such as chain and wire-rope hoists, crane systems and crane components.

Microsoft and Technology Evaluation Center have certified AIM Computer Solutions, Fraser, MI, as a Discrete Manufacturing (ERP) Software Vendor. AIM provides ERP software to small to medium-sized repetitive manufacturers, with a focus on automotive suppliers.

Material-handling equipment provider Jervis B. Webb Co., Farmington Hills, MI, has achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for its North American plants in Harbor Springs and Boyne City, MI, and its corporate headquarters. The standard requires companies to continually improve their environmental performance and implement a systematic approach to setting and achieving environmental targets and objectives. As part of its efforts to comply to ISO 14001, Jervis B. Webb initiated recycling programs to minimize waste. To date, its two manufacturing plants have recycled more than 1000 lb. of plastic shrink-wrap. The facilities also have transitioned from metal-halide lights to fluorescent lighting, and have installed sensors to automatically turn lights off in inactive areas.

Dorner Manufacturing, Hartland, WI, announced that its 2200 series low-profile belt conveyors have received the Ultraclean Products Approval Laboratory certification for use in ISO Standard 14664-1 Class 5 and Federal Standard 209 Class 100-rated cleanrooms.
