Burghardt + Schmidt GmbH, Remchingen, Germany, has formed a U.S. subsidiary (Burghardt and Schmidt, Inc.) in Chesterton, IN, and appointed Peter Swenson sales director for the U.S. and Canadian markets. The firm manufactures precision coil-processing equipment for slitting and leveling, including cut-to-length lines, stretch-bend-level lines and oscillate-wound slitting lines.
