The Bolden Die Supply Div. (Marietta, GA) of Ready Technology hired Justin D. Hedrick as manager. He’ll oversee customer, vendor and supplier relationships, and be responsible for sales, including training inside support staff.

Deonna Fritz has joined Iowa Metal Spinners, Cedar Falls, IA, as director of sales and marketing.

Lane Punch Corp., Salisbury, NC, appointed Robert C. Martin president, and Mike Shelley executive vice president. The firm manufactures die components and tooling.

The U.S. Dept. of Commerce announced that William G. Sutton, CAE, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret.), has assumed the role of Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing and Services (MAS). That’s the group that serves as the federal government’s lead advocate for U.S. industry. MAS works to ensure that laws, policies and regulations are passed with an eye toward U.S. competitiveness. Sutton previously served as president of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute, and has served on the Boards of the American National Standards Institute and the National Association of Manufacturers’ Council of Manufacturing Associations.

Douglas A. Kittenbrink, an executive with Allegheny Technologies Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, has been named chairman of the Specialty Steel Industry of North America, Washington, D.C. The trade association represents producers of specialty metals.

Kaliburn, Charleston, SC, named Brian E. O’Hara vice president of sales and marketing and hired Allan H. Holst as business development director. The company manufactures plasma-cutting systems.

Thomas Thoms has been named president of Genesis Systems Group, Davenport, IA, an integrator of robotic arc-welding systems. Richard Litt, the firm’s founder, will transition from president to chairman of the board, replacing Richard Matthes, who will retire as chairman but remain as a member of the board.

Prima North America, Inc., Champlin, MN, a manufacturer of laser-processing equipment, named Terry L. VanderWert president. VanderWert, formerly the firm’s senior vice president and general manager, succeeds Dr. Paolo Cigna, who continues as a member of the firm’s board of directors.
