Tooling Update

The Gerstenslager Co., a supplier of automotive stampings and assemblies with facilities in Wooster and Clyde, OH, announced plans to form a 50-50 joint venture with International Tooling Solutions, LLC (ITS), a designer and builder of tooling. The JV, named ArtiFlex Manufacturing, LLC, will provide engineering, tooling, stamping and assembly services.

ITS operates three facilities—two in Grand Rapids, MI, and one in Frankfort, KY, and specializes in low-cost production of ultra-low volume dies and assembly; Gerstenslager, a subsidiary of Worthington Industries, Columbus, OH, specializes in blanking, stamping, assembly, e-coating and packaging.
