Certifications

Metal fabricator D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, has achieved certification to DIN EN 15085-2, Level CL2 for welding of new components for railway vehicles. It did so to meet the requests of its customer, Electro-Motive Diesel, which sought a U.S. supplier certified to the European welding standard. The standards require that D&S maintain its systems for training and welding-procedure consistency, and that a welding coordinator be retained onsite for supervision and to address technical issues.

ISO 9001: 2008 registration has been bestowed upon Proformance Manufacturing, Inc., Corona, CA. The firm manufactures custom metal components including deep-draw and progressive-die stampings and CNC machined parts, supplying the automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical and other industries.
