Lincoln Electric Acquires Chinese Weld-Wire Maker

Lincoln Asia Pacific, the Asian subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Cleveland, OH, has acquired Jinzhou Jin Tai Welding and Metal Co., a welding-wire manufacturer in Jinzhou, China. Lincoln Asia Pacific had owned 48 percent of the company, and acquired the remainder from Taiwan-based Kuang Tai Metal Industrial Co. and other partners. Jin Tai’s annualized sales for the first half of 2009 were $130 million.
