Seyi (Shieh Yih Machinery), based in Taiwan, elected Claire Kuo chairman of the company’s board of directors and chief executive officer, effective July 1. Ms. Kuo, who had been president and CEO of the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries Seyi America (Walnut, CA) and Seyi Presses (Tullahoma, TN), takes over for Mr. S. H. Kuo, company founder, who assumes the role of chairman emeritus to smooth the management transition and ensure continuity for Seyi’s customers.

Plainfield Companies, Inc., Plainfield, IL, named Jonathan Soucy president and COO, having previously served as the company’s vice president of operations of Pixley-Richards Inc., acquired by the company in 2007.

Metalforming company Okay Industries, Inc., New Britain, CT, promoted Jason M. Howey from vice president to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

TRUMPF Inc., Farmington, CT, named Mike Morissette regional manager southwest, to manage the firm’s sales activity in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico, as well as the southern regions of California and Nevada, where he’ll also perform direct sales. He’ll be based in Arizona.
