NTMA + PMA = One Dynamic Advocacy Duo

In unity there is strength. That’s why the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), Cleveland, OH, and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), Ft. Washington, MD, have agreed to combine their federal-government advocacy programs. The goal: Promote government policies to ensure a strong U.S. manufacturing sector. While PMA and NTMA each have worked separately for many years on advocacy campaigns, they’ll now combine resources to present a strong, united front to members of Congress and the administration.
Working on their behalf will be The Franklin Partnership, LLP, a bipartisan government-relations firm with expertise on legislative issues important to small- and mid-market metalworking companies. “While dozens of trade associations represent various metalforming technologies,” says Jim McGregor, chair of PMA’s Government Relations Committee, “only a few are actively engaged in Washington, D. C. PMA’s partnership with NTMA to fight for manufacturing in America is a big step forward in increasing our industry’s effectiveness in lobbying for policies that help create high-wage, high-skilled jobs among small- and mid-market manufacturers.”
