Ross Controls, Troy, MI, promoted Jeffrey J. Hand to president and CEO, effective May 1, 2014, replacing the recently retired John G. Smith. Hand most recently served the company as president, North American Operations.

Metalformer and precision-tooling manufacturer Oberg Industries, Freeport, PA, announced that Greg Chambers, its director of corporate compliance and safety and apprenticeship program leader, will serve on the Pennsylvania Apprenticeship and Training Council. Appointed to the position by Governor Tom Corbett, Chambers joins an 11-person council charged with promoting apprenticeship education and improving metalworking training standards.

Phoenix Specialty Mfg., Bamberg, SC, hired Pat Moloney as COO and Billy Self as engineering manager, and promoted Russell Hurst to operations manager at Phoenix Specialty. The firm manufactures washers, shims and precision stamped parts.

German pressroom-automation equipment manufacturer Strothmann Machines & Handling GmbH has a new sales director for North America—Christian Fais. Fais will work from the company’s North American headquarters in Marietta, GA.

Press manufacturer Seyi has staffed its newly opened Mexican subsidiary in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, with manager Horacio Peña Villarreal, and Marcela Hinojosa Amarante (administration and marketing). Rounding out the five-person workforce (during the next 2 yr.): two employees focused on direct customer sales, and two service technicians.

Industrial Steel & Wire, Chicago, IL, named Scott Weldon vice president and chief financial officer; Dan Foster vice president of sales and marketing; and John Dickman vice president of purchasing and operations. The firm operates a nationwide network of metal service centers.

Dengensha America, Bedford, OH, a manufacturer of resistance-welding equipment and consumables, hired David Wakeford as its Canadian sales agent. With plenty of application expertise, Wakeford, who works out of Ontario, Canada, will provide ongoing service and support to the firm’s customers.

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, appointed Benjamin T. Pauzus business manager of its new cut-to-length business unit.

United Performance Metals, Hamilton, OH, welcomed Ian Moore as an account manager, and Austin Derkson as a customer service representative. The firm supplies high-temperature, high-strength and corrosion-resistant allows.

Stewart EFI, LLC, Thomaston, CT, a supplier of small metalformed parts and secondary assemblies, hired Tony Pascariello as general manager. He’ll oversee its stamping and tooling facilities.

Sharon Gantenbein joined Aerodyne Alloys as inside sales representative. The firm stocks and processes specialty high-temperature alloys from is headquarters facility in South Windsor, CT, and service centers in California, South Carolina and Texas.

Tella Tool & Manufacturing Co. appointed Linda Nagel customer service supervisor, Mollie Dunn customer service representative, and Mark Grabowski tool engineer at its plant in Lombard, IL. Also, at the firm’s facility in Brownsville, TX, Horacio Ramirez joined as plant manager, Jose Pecina as production planner, and German De La Torre as tooling supervisor.
