LSA Laser, specialists in laser-beam cutting, welding, ablation and marking for an array of medical devices, has moved into a new 26,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant in Plymouth, MN. Among the devices it manufactures are defibrillation leads, stents, catheters, surgical and dental instruments, orthopedics and heating devices.
Along with adding manufacturing space, the move allows the firm to expand its R&D capabilities, to work with customers’ design engineers throughout the product-development process. LSA Laser operates 22 laser-processing systems.
