Greenerd Press & Machine Co., Inc., Nashua, NH, a designer and manufacturer of custom hydraulic presses, will display a 40-ton press with: precise pressure and flow control; reduced maintenance and operating costs; reduced cooling requirements; reduced audible sound level; the ability to hold pressure at zero rpm; electrical power savings of more than 50 percent compared to conventional presses; and VPN remote press-communications capability. Unlike Greenerd’s energy-saving presses that incorporate variable-frequency drives, the press on display uses new technology that is scalable to higher tonnages.
