Visual Inspection System for Servo Presses

Komatsu America Industries LLC, Wood Dale, IL, will highlight a visual inspection system (VIS) available on its H1F and H2W series of servo presses. VIS software measures slide position, speed, load in tons, working energy and other press parameters. Sensors incorporated in the press relay data through a built-in communications port in order to display and control the data on a remote USB-equipped computer. This operation not only makes it easier to manufacture and adjust the dies, but also to control the accuracy of formed parts and reduce defects, according to company officials.
