Becky McCarty has been named director of marketing for mechanical stamping-press manufacturer Aida. Working from the firm’s North American headquarters location, AIDA-America Corp., in Dayton, OH, McCarty takes over responsibilities for the Western Hemisphere of Aida’s global organization.

The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, Washington, D.C., named Peter Hoekstra vice president, technical services. Hoekstra will oversee development of performance rating standards, administer the association’s product-rating verification programs, provide technical support for regulatory advocacy issues, oversee cooperative research and participate in the standards processes of related organizations.
