Georgia Service Center Installs Multi-Blanking Line

The Phoenix Metals facility in Norcross, GA, installed a 72-in. precision multi-blanking line from Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL. The line can process mild steel to 0.135 in. thick and stainless steel to 0.105 in. as presently configured —the firm may add an additional leveler to the line to take stainless-steel capacity to 0.250 in. Included is a precision grip-feed system and CNC programmable slitter, capable of holding blank width and length tolerances of ±0.005 in.
