Automatic Feed Co., Napoleon, OH, has installed a new blanking line at the new Honda plant in Lincoln, AL. The line features automatic changeover capability to process aluminum and steel coil at speeds to 91 m/min. and blanking-press speed to 80 strokes/min. It stamps material from 0.4 to 2.0 mm, for large parts such as body sides as well as smaller interior parts, and uses Automatic Feed’s Soft Piling stacker technology that ensures precise stacks regardless of material type. Soft Piling results in stacks located to within ±1 mm of total stack height.
