Vacuum Lifter for Coil Handling

An air-powered, below-the-hook vacuum lifter, designed specifically for lifting sheetmetal coils to 4-ft. dia., has been introduced by Anver Corp., Hudson, MA. The Anver VPFL-4 vacuum lifter has an X-style frame with adjustable suction pads and spring suspension. Featuring a circular perimeter guard for added protection, the lifter provides continuous vacuum to the suction pads and has an adjustable handle with integrated controls.
Designed for safety, the unit also is equipped with a VLS-8 vacuum leakage sensor, powered independently by a 9-v lithium battery, which sets itself to the vacuum system’s peak vacuum level and displays it on an LCD in front of the operator. If a 10-percent or greater vacuum loss or leakage occurs, the sensor triggers a loud horn and signals the LED warning light to begin to flash.
