Airtronics Metal Products, San Jose, CA, has installed an Amada 4000-W Gemini FO MII 3015 laser-cutting machine that includes a rotary index feature so that the machine can process tube and pipe, as well as flat sheet. Noted as particularly useful by Airtronics: The integrated rotary-index unit allows the cutting head to be positioned near the chuck, minimizing the dead zone. Bowed pipe or tubing can be cut without vibration. Cutting-table capacity: 61 by 121 in.
