A high-speed blanking press at the Chrysler de Mexico facility in Saltillo has a new partner—a 72-in.-wide oscillating shear die from Coe Press Equipment Corp., Sterling Heights, MI, capable of achieving line speeds to 300 ft./min. and hit rates to 60 strokes/min. The shear die operates alongside a Komatsu blanking press and offers a range of ±48 deg. Other features include a pivoting entrance support transfer table, self-centering edge guides, shock-dampening control, wedge-type blade-gap adjustment and a self-pivoting exit conveyor.
