The X-Tra Series of fineblanking presses from Schmid Corp. of America, Jackson, MI, takes center stage in this brochure. The machines feature a hydraulic servo-drive to control ram movement—an AC servo-motor defines ram position and the control valve on the main cylinder amplifies the motions hydraulically. Direct mechanical feedback of ram positions to the control valve creates a closed-loop regulation circuit, for accurate control of ram position. Presses are offered with capacity of 1600, 3200, 4000 and 6300 kN, with speed to 100 strokes/min. The brochure describes features—four-column press frame, die-protection system, central lubrication, automatic die clamping, online diagnostics (optional), and more.
