Stewart EFI Adds 200-Ton Press

A 200-ton Minster press outfitted with a transfer mechanism has landed on the shop floor of Stewart EFI, LLC, Thomaston, CT. “The press will allow us to produce deep-drawn parts to 5.875 in. deep and blank diameters as large as 8 in. from strip to 1⁄8 in. thick,” says John Labas, vice president of sales and marketing. Stewart EFI produces deep-drawn parts as well as progressive-die and slide-formed metal stampings and wire forms. Secondary operations include assembly, plating and finishing; www.stewartefi.com.
