Contract Manufacturer Adds Big-Bed HMC

D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, a custom manufacturer of large-scale components, assemblies and weldments for Caterpillar, Oshkosh and other notable OEMs, has installed a Toyoda FH1250SX horizontal machining center to address recent growth in orders. The machine allows D&S to expand its machining envelope from 60 to 94 in. and accommodate larger-scale components, and features a pallet shuttle to quicken changeovers.
