Esab to Open New Wire-Manufacturing Plant

Esab Welding & Cutting Products, Florence, SC, announced plans to open a new facility in Union County, SC, to manufacture its line of gas-metal-arc- and submerged-arc-welding wire, products currently manufactured at its plant in Ashtabula, OH. The firm expects its new 250,000-sq.-ft. plant to employ more than 100, and enter production by the end of 2011.
