AKS Cutting Systems, Cleveland, OH, introduces the Tru-Kut heavy-duty 5 by 10-ft. plasma-cutting system. The rigid welded-steel frame provides a stable platform for precision plasma cutting. The uni-frame design provides a compact footprint and allows for rapid installation without any special floor preparation. The system uses the Edge Ti CNC, designed for plasma-cutting applications, and includes touchscreen graphics, onboard true-shape nesting and remote diagnostics/help capability.

A downdraft cutting table includes three clean-out doors on each side for quick and efficient cleaning and a parts catcher to catch smaller parts falling through the cutting slats. Digitally controlled brushless servo motors and helical precision-ground rack and pinions and linear guides provide rapid acceleration, smooth motion and accuracy.
