New OSHA Training Component
Emphasizes Workers’ Rights

Every OSHA 10- and 30-hr. Outreach Training Program must now include a new training component called Introduction to OSHA, which emphasizes workers’ rights, including their right to:
•    Safe and healthful workplaces;
•    Knowledge of the presence and effects of hazardous chemicals;
•    Review information about injuries and illnesses in their workplaces;
•    Receive training;
•    Request/file for an OSHA inspection and participate in the inspection; and
•    Be free from retaliation for exercising their safety and health rights.

Motoman Robotics on the Move

Yaskawa America, Inc. announced that its Motoman Robotics division will move to a new 300,000-sq.-ft. office and production facility to be built just south of Dayton. Construction begins in July 2010 with a move-in date of June 2011. The new North American headquarters for Motoman Robotics will combine its current Ohio locations in West Carrolton and Troy, and house 250-275 employees. More at www.motoman.com.
